EWC Becomes Focused

As of January 2001, EWC Controls sold off its transformer division to focus more time and attention to the HVAC comfort controls product offering. This has proven to be a wise divestment for the company. It has allowed EWC Controls to expand its manufacturing capabilities and increase their warehouse space. While also increasing the capital investment into the surrounding environment of its largest asset, its employees.

Round Damper Production

EWC Controls has dedicated over 6000 square feet of space to the production of round dampers. The company completely revitalized a section of the building with a new heating and air conditioning system (zoned, of course), new fabrication equipment and a new revolutionary damper packing machine. The new area of production has increased the company’s output of round dampers by 58%.

The "Piranha"

The Piranha is a new fabrication machine that is used in the production of rectangular style dampers. The Piranha will punch holes and insert mounting studs all in one movement. This machine has decreased the amount of time that is needed to manufacture frames for the rectangular dampers by more than 39%. The piranha can be set up to fabricate any style and any size rectangular damper.

Growth

Over the past (4) four years EWC Controls has grown at an average of 44% per year. So far year to date the company is tracking at an average of 59%. The tremendous growth in our industry is what is fueling all of the expansion and purchasing of new equipment for EWC Controls.
