Does the UltraTalk 3000 support Floating Dampers for MA-ND5 Round Dampers

Post by en_sabah_nur »

I noticed an issue with my system (specs below)

When all of my 2 zones is open, and zone 1 is damanding 100% and zone 2 is demanding 25%, zone 1 is not receiving enough airflow and the people in zone 1 are uncomfortable. Both zones are the same size and my zone weights are the same and work perfectly when one zone is called. I have PID Loop enabled.

Is it possible when 2 zone are open and there is a significan difference in demand that zone 2 can float maybe to 50%? I know that the DAPC can float dampers, it would be nice if the zone board could do that also.

Thank you.

NO our UT-3000 does not float our dampers. I agree having the UT-3000 float our dampers would be a great idea.

Ok! If you add that feature to your board, please remember me as a potential Beta tester. I think it would be an awesome feature. The DAPC already has tech do to it. I would think instead of using static pressure as the input, you would you use zone requested/not requested and cfm requirements for each zone. I have already replaced a zone board thanks to your help (original board functioned fine, just wrong version).

Thanks.
