In the UZC4 manual, the instructions points out that you may have to interlock your humidifier to run during a heating call only. My HVAC professional apparently has not done that and the water runs constantly. The humidifier and humidistat seem to work correctly and the water will shut off if there is no demand for humidity.

Can you point me to wiring instructions to interlock the humidifier?

Thanks,
Brian

Brian,

It does not sound like the issue has anything to do with the way the humidifier is wired into your furnace/air handler.
When the unit is filling with water is the fill light lit at all times as well?
It could be a problem with the 24volt fill solenoid.
Please give me a call so we can rectify this problem as soon as possible.

How did this turn out? I recently changed my humidifier filter, and I'm concerned I did something incorrectly. It is not running correctly now. Also, what type of humidifier filters would you recommend?

What model brand and model of humidifier do you have? It does not sound like you have an EWC Steam Humidifier.
