Steam-Treat is designed for humidifiers using up to 25 gallons/day and will inhibit scale for one season.

Application: Clean the tank and heating element before installing the cartridge into the water inlet line. The cartridge has a quick-connect on either end for ease of installation.  For best results, the humidifier should have daily dump of water from the sump to diminish scale forming materials. Operating temperature, min/max, 40-80 degrees F (4-26C).
